UFC 263: Adesanya vs Vettori 2 50/50 Raffle Raises More than $14,000 For The Arizona Coyotes Foundation

UFC recently partnered with the Arizona Coyotes Foundation on a charitable partnership to conduct an online and in-venue 50/50 raffle during UFC 263: Adesanya vs Vettori 2, which took place on Saturday, June 12 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

The UFC 263 50/50 raffle served as the first in-venue fundraising activation of 2021 for both UFC and the Arizona Coyotes. The raffle raised $14,314, which marked a 2021 record for the Arizona Coyotes Foundation and Gila River Arena.

50% of the net proceeds – $7,157 – supported the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, the charitable arm of the NHL team. The collaboration, a first for UFC together with the Arizona Coyotes, served as a way for UFC to give back to the local Glendale community for hosting the organization during fight week.

“It’s beautiful to see UFC not only bring entertainment to our community but also to prioritize making a positive charitable impact,” said Brittani Willett, Executive Director of the Arizona Coyotes Foundation. “The funds raised through our 50/50 raffle collaboration will help to fund grants in our upcoming grant cycle. All funds will stay in Arizona and support non-profit organizations whose missions fall within our core pillars of healthcare, education, economic empowerment, cultural arts, and youth sports.”

The raffle launched online on Tuesday, June 8, with fans ages 18 years or older located anywhere in the state of Arizona at the time of purchase the ability to buy raffle tickets by visiting Coyotes.Bump5050.com.

The winner of the other 50% of the jackpot came forward immediately following the event.

Since 2017, UFC has produced 11 of its 21 charitable 50/50 raffles in conjunction with foundations that serve as the charitable arm of NHL teams. UFC has produced 50/50 raffles with the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals and now the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, raising more than $350,000 with net proceeds benefitting their respective local communities.
